Black Tuesday

So they decided to put one of the dogs to sleep yesterday. Apparently on Sunday she started bleeding whenever she went to the bathroom and then she didn't have the strength to stand up, so she was basically sitting in her own waste. I'm sad that I didn't get to say goodbye. So yesterday afternoon I got a text message from my little brother and it was this picture, so I knew they had taken her in to the vet.



So I had a really crappy day yesterday and to top it off, I decided I wanted to run for the editorial board on the law review. Last night they had a "candidate forum" where we had to answer questions. Well some of the positions had upwards of 13 people running and so it could take 15 minutes just to get through one question. It started at 6pm and went until 1:30am. I really felt like staying home, but in the end I forced myself to go.

This is not a good year for pets. First one of our tortoises died last summer, who was my favorite, then my cat, and now one of the dogs. They all had long runs, but that doesn't make it any less sad.
