Some of them would make awesome movies! And with some of the crap that gets made, I wouldn't be surprised if one did get turned into film.

He's a deeply religious Jewish shaman moving from town to town, helping folk in trouble. She's a virginal extravagent museum curator living on borrowed time. They fight crime!
He's a jaded Catholic sorceror looking for a cure to the poison coursing through his veins. She's a scantily clad Buddhist traffic cop with only herself to blame. They fight crime!
He's a globe-trotting neurotic gangster whom everyone believes is mad. She's a radical winged lawyer looking for love in all the wrong places. They fight crime!
